Thain J Scow

Salt Lake City, Utah-Thain J. Scow passed away on March 27, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born July 11, 1927 to Joseph Andrew and Wilma Johnson Scow in Deseret, Utah. Thain attended and graduated from Hurricane High School. He joined the army in 1945 and served in the Army of Occupation in Germany. He married his sweetheart, Jean Mickelson on February 19, 1955. He worked for United Electric and The Mine and Smelter Supply in Electric and Pneumatics. Thain enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing. He spent his last two years at the Salt Lake Veteran's Nursing Home where he received loving care from everyone there. Thain is preceded in death by his brothers Twain, Kendall and Delbert. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Mickelson Scow, daughter Tina Scow Farrell, sister Ann Scow Mayfield and grandchildren Lawrence Kirk Talbot Jr. and Parker Benton Talbot. Services will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive.
