Lovely Vauna Jespersen Paypath peacefully joined her heavenly family on March 12, 2021. I was the daughter of Olaf S. Jespersen and Ruth White Lithgoe Jespersen, born on May 19, 1925 in Murray, Utah. As a youngster I lived in Strevell, Idaho and attended a one room schoolhouse at Naf, Idaho. In 1942, I graduated from Granite High School and attended the University of Utah for a time. My higher education came later, with a BS in business administration in 1978 and an MBA in 1981 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
I was a busy lady along the way, working in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, NV. In 1987 I retired as a safety specialist with the U.S. Department of Energy.
I was a happy spirit, a fourth-generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I enjoyed the great outdoors and wildlife, reading, genealogy, and current events.
I am preceded in death by my loving brothers, Lee L. Jespersen, Arthur Ray Kempton and their wives, Edris Higley Jespersen, and Annell Neddo Kempton, and my niece Penny Lee Jespersen Lochhead. My survivors include nieces Sharon Jespersen Crawshaw, Susan Jespersen Koch and nephews Gregory, Kevin, and Guy Kempton, and grand, and great grand nieces and nephews.
Along the way my faithful and dear friends were Ernest Elms, wildlife author; Doug and Geneva Fellows; and Ruth Walton Haney, high school and lifelong friend, of Filer, Idaho.
Cookie and sprinkles were the last of my two pet cats.
