Jenny passed away on August 29, 2012 in Salt Lake City. She was born on March 12, 1927 to Joseph L. and Julia Howard in Houston, Texas. She was the third daughter of 4 children. She graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston and attended Texas Woman’s University and later attended BYU Extension in Salt Lake. Jenny grew up in a loving family and felt her sisters were her best friends. The family spent a lot of time at the beach on Galveston Island on the Gulf of Mexico.
Jenny met Richard A. Baldwin in 1945 when he was stationed at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston. They were married on September 6, 1946. Jenny was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Richard and they were sealed in the Los Angeles, California Temple on their 10th Wedding Anniversary. Richard spent 30 years as an Air Force Pilot serving in Korea and also in Vietnam two times.
They enjoyed living in many states in the U.S. and in Germany and Spain during those military years. Jenny was a faithful member of the Church and served in many positions, Relief Society President, Young Women President, Primary Counselor, and she prepared the Sacrament Meeting Program for 30 years in the Mt. Olympus 8th Ward, an assignment she took great pride in. She worked as a volunteer in the Salt Lake Temple for 28 years. She served as a Red Cross Volunteer for many years in the States and in Germany and Spain.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband Richard Allen Baldwin, her parents, and her older sister Josie Collins. She is survived by a sister Jerry Miller of San Antonio, Texas, a brother Joe (Deloris) Howard of Dallas, Texas, her son Richard (Cheryl) A. Baldwin Jr., a daughter Patti (Scott) Clements, 7 grandchildren, Richard (Whitnie) A. Baldwin III, Tyler (Joelle) Lee Baldwin, Chase (Mary) K. Baldwin, Cami (Steve) Warner, Cassi (Jordan) Allred, Tysen (Lauren) Clements, Tanner Clements, and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2 PM at the Neffs Canyon Ward located at 4176 South Adonis Drive (3930 East). A visitation will be held at the Ward on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM and again one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
