Dear Eckhardt family. I met your mother when she was residing at Cottonwood Creek.  She and my mom were next door neighbors there and had become good friends. I was fortunate to get in on a lot of visits at mealtimes and grew to love your mom. She was a delightful lady! I know my mother will be sad to learn of her passing. My condolences to all the family.

Even after all these years since Sam and Wanda moved from their home on Berkeley Street, when I stand on our front porch and look at the house across the street I still think of it as "Sam and Wanda's home."  Sam in the yard, tending to it with such attention and care, and sweet Wanda, on her way to visit someone in the neighborhood or run errands, but always with time to stop and chat a bit and catch up.'  Wanda  and Sam  are missed, but will always be fondly remembered, here on our street.

I'm so glad I was able to attend family reunions and get to know Aunt Wanda.  I will treasure the memories of those times with the her, the stories, and the family.  (Howard's granddaughter, Leanne's Daughter)

I have many fond childhood memories of Aunt Wanda, when we visited Utah to visit or attend the family reunions.  I have appreciated corresponding with her regularly through the years.  Leanne (Howard's daughter)
