William Lawrence Hitchcock, 76, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Salt Lake City, UT, just one day shy of his 77th birthday. Born on November 5, 1947, he was an electronics engineer who spent the majority of his career in various positions as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense, contributing significantly to numerous projects of national importance. Bill was a 1966 graduate of Skyline High School and later attended the University of Utah, where he honed the skills that would define his professional life.
He resided the past 30+ years in Sandy, UT. He is survived by his brothers, Randy Hitchcock (Little Elm, TX) and Blake Hitchcock (Riverton, UT). Bill was preceded in death by his brother Richard Hitchcock, and his parents, Edward Castle Hitchcock and Lillian Davis Hitchcock.
William will be remembered for his dedication to his field and the quiet integrity with which he lived his life.
