Doris Sheehan, a former resident of Miller Place and Port Jefferson died on Feb .23, 2012. She was born in New York City. The daughter of William and Helen Smith. Doris was the beloved wife of Seamus Sheehan who predeceased her in 2007. She was the loving mother of Deirdre Davis and her husband Skip and Donna Nemeth and her husband Terry. She is also survived by four grandchildren James Davis, Donna McKeown, Michael and Samantha. In addition she had five cherished great-grandchildren, Linzie, Brendan, Seamus, Annie and Jack. Doris was retired from her position as Deputy clerk and Village Registrar for the Village of Port Jefferson. Doris will be waked Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at O.B. Davis Funeral home, Miller Place. Funeral Mass will be Monday at Infant Jesus Church at 10 am in Port Jefferson Village. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Donations can be made in her name to the L. I. Chapter of the MS Association or the Heart Transplant Center at NY Presbyterian Hospital., NYC.
