Edna Pauline Martin

Born in Queens, NY, Edna had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Edna’s life was marked by her incredible energy and enthusiasm for the things she loved. She was an avid shopper, always excited for a shopping spree, and she had a particular fondness for the color pink, which brought her much joy throughout her life. As a true social butterfly, Edna cherished spending time with others, traveling, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Edna was married to her beloved husband, John H. Martin, for over 60 wonderful years. Together, they shared a beautiful life, building a family that grew to include three children: Joyce Golub (Brian), John Martin (Linda), and James Martin (Pi-fem). Edna's love extended to her cherished grandchildren, Melissa, Bradley, Craig, Jennifer, Stefanie, Erik, and Kimberly, as well as her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Marigold, Mason, Lucas, Jonas, Daniel, Sofia, Joey, Alexander, Amelia, Patrick, and Eleanor. She took great pride in her family, and they were the light of her life.

Edna is predeceased by her beloved husband, John H. Martin, and her brother, Walter Harke. She leaves behind a family that will continue to honor her memory and the love she so generously gave.

A visitation for Edna will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. A prayer service will be held at 12:30 PM, followed by a committal service at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY, at 2:00 PM.
