Dear James, You are missed beyond belief. You were and still are my inspiration to take each day as it comes, and make the best I can of it. I still root for the Stealers when they play the Giants. I'll always remember that last game we watched together. Life is precious Christine and Mariah are doing ok. I keep an eye on them for you.

Wow! 3 years already. The time goes by and so much has been happening. James you sure are missed. Past three years have been a blur. Christine, Mariah have been doing ok. They are strong  but still missing you everyday. You suffered so much with your countless surgeries and doctor procedures. You endured and fought the good fight. Your spirit was greater than any man I ever met. Watching you fight through all the years of pain and hospital stays made me a better man. It made me realize that a strong will and a good heart can carry a man through tough times. You James were a great teacher of personal strength and perseverance.
I will always remember your warm smile and generous heart.
Rest easy James.

James, 
It's so hard to believe a year has passed since we sat and talked and shared memories and thoughts of family times. I can only now hold those times in my heart and thoughts of a life cut short by your many days of illness and suffering. I know now you are resting in heaven with those we lost before you.
My memories of you will always be of a quiet good hearted man who took care of his family when able and a good natured person who gave so many hours to helping others. I'll remember those days for the rest of my life and hold you dear to my heart always.
James rest easy and always know you are thought of by many and will always be remembered for the kind hearted man you were.
Go Steelers, I'll never forget the last game we watched together at hospice. That was an amazing night to remember.

James was an ideal leader as Chief of Manorville Ambulance.   He was patient, kind, understanding and a great inspiration to the crew.  I have thought about him so often and recently found a letter I had written to him in 1998.   He is at peace in Gods hands. He was an educated trainer and made you want to achieve the best in serving the people of our community.  May your family find solace in what a loving, gentle person you are.  I will treasure the memories I have of you.

Dear Christine and Mariah,
James was truly an inspiration and a warrior to all who knew him.

He was a wonderful dad and husband who cared and loved deeply.

He made friends wherever he went because of his winning personality that drew people to him. He always found the time to help out a friend, even strangers.

Later on “life gave him lemons, but he made lemonade”. His glass was always “half-full”.  His body put him through much turmoil, yet he took every hurdle with a grain of salt, never complaining.

He would want us to remember the happy times we spent with him. He is in our thoughts, as are you,  Christine and Mariah. Remember his love, strength, courage and determination, to get you through each coming day.

Christine and Mariah,
I will hold James in my heart for the rest of my life. James was an outstanding man and I could not have asked for a better man to have married my daughter.
James was a giver never a taker and with you Christine raised Mariah  to be the compassionate and strong young women she is today.
The courage that James showed to me and all the family and friends that visited him at East End Hospice was beyond belief.
What an inspiration he was.
James is resting in the arms of The Lord now no more suffering.
