There never were strong enough words to describe what a remarkable person my Uncle John was. Now in his absence, there is no measuring how heartbroken each of us has become. I will always remember with a swollen heart how quickly, and high, Uncle John jumped to make everyone around him the happiest they could be; not once in my life could I have wished for a more loving and devoted Uncle. My only wish now is that he knows how deeply he is loved in return, and how consistently he will be missed.

Uncle John was one of the most giving people I have ever known. He made everyone feel important and special and the love he had for his family was bigger than life. I feel lucky to be a part of this family in many ways because of Uncle John and all of you, and how kind you all are. I love you. You are in my heart.

Words cannot express how sorry I feel for all who lost this special man.  I think about him all the time:  A man who treated me like a best friend, immediately from the first day I met him, a man who strove to bring his family together and create so many special memories, so many moments that no one will ever forget, a man who always did the right thing, a man I cannot picture without a huge smile on his face.  He will go down in the history of my life as the man I would most like to emulate and become someday.. but no one could ever be like John.  He was beyond special.  He took pride in everything he did.  Whether it be putting up blinds, making appetizers for a party, or making each day special for everyone around him, he did his absolute best at it.  Sue and the kids, I know you feel so robbed right now, we all do. Know, that he loved you more than life itself. Coming from a father's point of view, (you can't understand it until you become a parent yourself..) He cherished every moment with you.. That first time his daughter said, "Daddy," that first time his son caught a football pass, watching proudly as you all complete stages of education and your lives..A father like him, replayed those moments every time he looked into your eyes, even as adults.   Do take solace in that you had the best father and husband ever, and he will always be around you, watching over you, guiding you, praying for you, and protecting you.  We are all blessed for knowing him and having him in our lives as long as we did, even for those who only knew him for a day.  I doubt I will ever meet another human being like him, and I hope I can be 1/10th the person he was.

When I first heard of Uncle John's passing,  my mind was full of hurt and anger.  Those thoughts were immediately flooded by memories that made my heart fill with joy! Dear sue and family 
It's very hard to put it in to words how.much john meant to me .he was always there for me from the stupidest questions on how to install a blind to the biggest question that would change my life and he never steered me wrong. He showed me how much family means.and I think he taught me to be a better family man.I was always amazed how he.would always keep his cool . even under the most stressful  situations. I would like to say I was blessed to have such a great brother, friend, and boss. There's not a day I won't think of him and I will carry on with what he taught me. He'll be missed very much

We were so very blessed to have John in our lives.  He was a wonderful person.  Best brother-in-law ever.  What great memories!!!  The barbarques, football parties, boating trips and always taking me along with you for trips.  He will live on forever in our memories and in our hearts. He will be missed an remembered with love. Dear Sue and Family
Working with John for so many years was truly a great thing. He taught me many things not only about the business but life. In the early days of Instant Verticals we spent long hours together on the truck. One such night it was 12:30 am and a car pulled up to us and asked for a card. A few minutes later he returned and asked John if we could come by now and do his blinds. John told him it was late and to call the office. He looked over at me and could see that I was exhausted. I said I thought you were going to say yes. He smiled and said I wouldn't do that to you. I know he would of had no problem going and doing that job but he always looked after us.
I will always remember the trips to Jets game in the RV. The fishing trips out east. Playing flag football John wasn't a boss to us he was our friend first. 
He will always be in our thoughts and prayers. The world really lost one of the good ones.

Dear Susan and your beautiful children John was such a loving and kind husband, father and best friend. He worked hard without complaints then he played hard with all of you his family that he adored. He always had something up his sleeve to surprise you all and to make more wonderful memories ieither going someplace exciting or great times in the backyard or the lake house games, fishing, cooking, making a fire, having a volcano, wearing coconuts and always having family fun and smiling a lot. 
We hope you will always remember the many precious memories all of you have to carry with you always. John will always be watching over his family and smile down on you always. 
He always made us feel welcome and at home on every visit. We will miss him. 
We love you all dearly and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers always.

Dear Sue, Melissa, Crystal, Kevin and Shannon,  Words cannot begin to express my sadness of John's passing.  He was so much more than a brother-in-law to me...he was a man I deeply respected and admired.  Sue, you and John forged a wonderful life together...you raised four beautiful children together.  When I look at my nieces and nephew, I see so many of the values and traits that John possessed.  John was such a hard worker but also such a devoted husband, father and friend. We are heartfelt sorry to hear of John's passing. John was an amazing and special man. Just knowing him made us better people. John was always there for you, be it to lend a hand, give advise or just be a friend. You could always count on him. We didn't just loose a friend but a brother as well. Joe was as close to John as he was to any of his blood brothers and he is truly thankful for each and everyday of that friendship.  It's a shame the world had to loose a great man on December 3,2015, but we're the lucky ones to have known him. Rest in peace our dear friend. You'll always be in our hearts.
