Nancy J. Nawrocki

Nancy J. Nawrocki, age 71, of Ridge, New York, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Nancy was the daughter of the late Helen Irene Nicolini and the late Anthony Edward Nicolini, Sr.

Nancy was a science lab teacher for the Longwood School district.

Nancy was a woman of warmth, creativity, and joy. She found beauty in the simple things—especially in the bright red cardinal, a bird she held dear. She loved the outdoors, often spending her time swimming, biking, or taking long walks to soak in nature’s peace. An artist at heart, Nancy expressed herself through painting and drawing, and always had a project going that reflected her love for arts and crafts.

She was also a passionate fisherwoman and loved the quiet calm of casting a line, often paired with laughter and stories shared with family and friends. Nancy had a radiant sense of humor and a deep, unwavering love for her family, cherishing every moment spent with her son, Sal.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Pasquale “Pat” Cortigino; her beloved children, Salvatore (Sheena), Francesca (Janna), and Joann (Michael); and her adored grandchildren, Jadyn, Christian, Brian, Rachel, Eric, Ava, and Sofia. She is also survived by her siblings, Anthony Jr., Robert, Jeffrey, and Carol. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony's of Padua RC Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY, followed by a committal service at 11:15 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY.

Nancy’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
