Peter M. Opatovsky

On March 30, 2022, with heavy hearts, the Opatovsky family had to say goodbye to a beloved father, brother and grandfather; husband to Janice Goldsmith-Opatovsky. Peter Michael Opatovsky, born in New York September 8, 1948; Child of Stephanie and Peter Opatovsky, brother to Barbara and John Opatovsky; Predeceased by his eldest daughter, Anne Marie Salino and grandson Brandon Salino. Peter is survived by his children and grandchildren; Michael Joseph Opatovsky, Peter Christopher Opatovsky, Kristina Opatovsky-Stillman and Kendra Opatovsky, Danielle Opatovsky, Grandchildren; Justin and Julia Salino, Stoan and Layne Stillman, Fischer Opatovsky and Everett Jones, Sons-in-Law; Robert Salino, Wesley Stillman and Taylor Jones.

Peter served as a military mechanic for the Airforce in the Vietnam War, and later went on to use these skills and interests in many avenues of his life and love for cars. He will be remembered by his playful spirit and enthusiasm for life, as well as his sense of humor and laughter. Peter's burial will be on April 6th 2022, 10:30 a.m. at Calverton National Cemetery.
