It’s been 2 yrs since you left us Sue, you are loved and missed everyday..❤️❤️

I worked with Sue for many years.  She was an excellent co-worker, and a loyal friend.  I really enjoyed talking to her.  She thought of everyone's needs  and always made you feel comfortable when asking help or advice.    She was compassionate and sincere.  You always saw her coming ,  (with her hat trying to keep hold of her head!)  She was a great listener, but even better at telling stories, making you laugh, till you cried.  She was a special person,  and I send my heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.  She will be missed.  

We are so sorry to hear about Aunt Sue. We are so sorry we couldnt be there for you during this time. I will always remember Thanksgivings at Aunt Sue's and what a great dancer she was! Our love is with you all.

My father Al and Sue had a great relationship which included needling each other whenever the opportunity arose. My father told me a story about the time he had cataract surgery. Sue was so respected in the hospital for her work ethic. She could get you scheduled to get your procedure first.  But on this occasion she also saw the opportunity to needle my father prior to his procedure.
She sent a nurse to tell my dad to strip down to his shorts. Shortly afterwards she sent in a different nurse to go in and say what are you doing!!  You are here for eye surgery.

I moved to Beacon Drive to live. I was "off the boat." All the Kelly families welcomed me, I had the luck of the Irish on my side .I am forever grateful.
Sue was wise and insightful. She  also did not take any Blarney which made life fun. We were forever entwined in the lives of my kids and her grandkids.
If you were ever a kid in her life you were blessed.  At any event she would make a point to say hello and goodbye to each one. No Irish goodbyes. 
She loved St Patrick's day. 
May the rain fall softy upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Aunt Sue was one of a kind! Her laughter contagious, her humor wicked! To know her was to love her! We celebrated so many happy times together, from Thanksgiving dinners with our special Kelly Family tablecloth, to 4th of July, blowing off fireworks and bottle rockets at Woodhull, to the Christmas Day after parties! No matter what, the Kelly’s always knew how to have a great time, and Aunt Sue was the life of the party! There was always tons of dancing (sometimes on tables) and if Donna Summer’s “Last Dance” came on, watch out! Aunt Sue would tear up the dance floor!  Aunt Sue and Kenny always loved to talk about their stamp collections over the years, too.  So many wonderful family memories. 

Aunt Sue, we will miss you dearly. We love you!

Sue and I met in grammar school 4 grade and became friends quickly. We did so many things together through the years from Scouts to everyday fun it would take to long to explain it all. She was a good friend and sister in law.  So from age 9 to 75 we had a ball. I will miss her every day.  Patsy❤️

Aunt Sue used to pick up Ryan, Donny, Jack, and myself in her Subaru and take us into Port Jefferson. We always had a great time and I still laugh remembering some of the jokes she would tell. 

Us McCarthy kids always enjoyed visiting her, Uncle James, and Jimmy. We would all sit around the dining room table and talk. I loved sharing stories with her and giving her updates on our lives. She always wanted to hear about Jack's unicyling. 

I will always remember how much interest she took in our lives as we were growing up. I always appreciated her honesty and enjoyed the laughs we shared. 
 

I will always cherish memories with Aunt Sue. When I was little she always put together a fantastic Kelly Family reunion. It always landed right near my birthday. Aunt Sue would make a big deal to point out how close my birthday was and announce it to everyone. That felt really special to me as a little girl. The McCarthys loved visiting Sue, James and Jimmy around every Christmas time. One year she gave me a book called “Just who will you be?” I read it cover to cover and it was a beautiful inspirational book. I think I will reread it again soon. Thank you aunt sue for all the memories ❤️ 

Sue will be sorely missed by all. In her younger years, one could always count on Sue to be the life of the party! She loved to dance! 
She served many a Thanksgiving dinner for the whole “Kelly Clan”, and loved doing it. I always remember the holiday tablecloth she wanted each and every one of us to sign  and date every Thanksgiving! Wonderful memories for sure!❤️❤️❤️
