

Vito W. Leone, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 8, 1957, in Queens, NY, to Alfonso and Vincenza Leone, Vito lived a life defined by love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Vito leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Arlene Leone, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they raised five daughters: Sara DeCresenzo (deceased 2020) Jolene Leone, Christina Mosquea, Rosanna Leone, and Gina Leone and son William Leone (deceased 2009) Vito is now reunited with his daughter Sara and son William.
He was a proud grandfather to his 16 grandchildren: Elysia, Victor, Nicholas, Angelina, Teresa, Leanna, Carlos, Vito, Yulianna, Mikayla, Ava, Mya, Jovani, Brooklyn, and Osiris.
Vito’s family roots were strong, and he treasured his bonds with his siblings. Though preceded in death by his brother Peter and nephew Peter, he is survived by his brother Andrew Schiro and his nephew Joseph Leone.
A skilled and hardworking man, Vito was a self-employed masonry contractor, known for his strength, resilience, and craftsmanship. Beyond his work, Vito embraced life’s simple pleasures: tending to his yard, riding his motorcycle, bodybuilding, and admiring classic cars. He especially cherished time spent with his loyal pets, Nala and Jaws, and found comfort in the companionship of his beloved watchdog.
Vito will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a devoted provider, and a protector for his family—what he lovingly called his "large standing army." His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love him.
