Walter A. Bik, age 89, of Brick Church, and formerly of Pittsburgh, and New Jersey passed away on Monday July 9, 2018. Walter was born August 30, 1928 in Polish Hill, son of the late Walter and Mary (Diminak) Bik. Beloved father to Pat (Andy) Wissinger, Gerry (Walter) Oggier, Beverly B. Kensinger; loving grandfather to Robyn, Kate(Cliff Mizak), Ann, Alison, Julie Oggier, Erin Bik Kensinger, David (Karen), Eric Wissinger; great grandfather to Cayly, Kaden, Cody Mizak, Erica, John, Gordon, Andrew Wissinger. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend Mary Jo Smail; dog Daisy and bird named Alex. Preceded in death by his wife Ann (Deglmann) Sept. 9, 2006. An US Army Veteran and a recipient of a bronze star, a silver star with oak leaf cluster. Walter served as a Captain in the 15th Infantry Regiment during the Korean War. Walter was honorably discharged in June 1959. Friends will be received Friday July 13, 2018 from 9:30am until 10:30am in the Healy-Hahn Funeral Home, Inc., 512 Grant Ave. Millvale, PA (412-821-2940). Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am Holy Spirit Church. Military honors will be conducted at St. Augustine Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to Burrell Twp.
