Doug devoted his life to youth ministry. He and his beloved wife, Pam, loved fishing and quilting together. In retirement, Doug and Pam lived in the Baxter/Brainerd area where they enjoyed fishing their favorite lake and appreciating nature.
Preceded in death by his wife, Pam (2022); daughter, Denise; parents, Virgil and Thelma (Hanson).
Survived by sons, Scott (Tanya) and Kevin (Stacy); grandchildren, Nikki (Trevor) Alms. Tyler, Kiki, Alastor, Caspian, Malena Vikingson; great-grandchildren, Carson, Ellie and Charlie; sisters, Linda (Pete) Schwartz, Judy (Robert) Hansen; many more relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 10:00 am at the historical Sunset Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE, Minneapolis 55414. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
