Passed away January 25, 2017
Preceded in death by his wife, LaVon; son, Darryl; 4 siblings.
Survived by his daughter, Sandy (Ed) Mingo; son, Dennis Marshall; grandsons, Greg, Luke (Jesica), Brian (Laura), Seth (Tracy); 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; further survived by other relatives and friends.
Dwayne was born in Clayton, IA and grew up in Dubuque, IA. He graduated from Dubuque High School in 1943 and joined the U.S. Navy in September 1943, following his honorable discharge from the Navy in May of 1946, he was united in marriage to LaVon. Dwayne, LaVon and their family moved to Minneapolis in 1952.

Funeral service 11:00 am Monday, January 30th, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home (2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE Minneapolis) visitation 10:00 am until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Interment with military honors will follow in the Sunset Cemetery.
