Present were Brad Voves, (son) and Marybeth Jensen (daughter-in-law).
Preceded in death by husband, Robert Voves; daughter, Susan Voves; and son, Scott Voves. Also, sisters, Phyllis Timian and Doris Kerrins; brothers, Andrew Meuwissen, and Kenneth Meuwissen.
Survived by son, Brad Voves; six grandchildren, Angela, Alex, Peter, Vanessa, Marty, and Robert; four great-grandchildren, Olive, River, Zephyrous, and Taiga; brothers, Bernard, Ralph; and many nieces and nephews.
Nita grew up in Cologne, MN, moved to New Ulm, MN with her husband and three children in 1959. She had many friends and various jobs, the last at New Ulm Medical Center. Upon retirement, she fulfilled a dream of moving up to the City at the turn of the millenium. She traveled with Bob and was close to her children. Upon Bobs' death, she moved multiple times. She loved shopping around Southdale and she and her sister, Phyllis, were recognized by the clerks in many of the stores.
She will join her husband, Bob, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Kapala Glodek Funeral Home in the Chapel, 2250 St Anthony Boulevard NE, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55418, on April 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.
