

Lorraine passed away peacefully at the age of 105, on May 20, 2025 at her home in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. She was born to Frank and Angela Haider on December 25, 1919 at their home in NE Minneapolis. She graduated from Edison High School and attended the University of Minnesota for a short time after that.
Lorraine was especially proud of her time in the military during World War II, serving in the Women's Marine Corps from 1943-1945, when she was honorably discharged. She later worked at Honeywell until her retirement.
Some of Lorraine's many interests included photography, dressmaking, cooking, painting, art appreciation, travel and folk dancing. She was a member of the Tapestry Folkdance Center for many years. She loved bingo and enjoyed occasional outings to the local casinos.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Michael (Kristi Lassegard) Morgan, Maureen (Glenn) Iseri, Donna (Steve) Luniewski and Brian (Nanette) Morgan; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Louise, Agnes, Eleanor, Helen and Marcella.
Lorraine's family is deeply saddened by her passing. She was a wonderful mother, who loved every member of her family without reservation. She experienced reciprocated love throughout her life. She was kind, generous, loyal and deeply cared for those in need.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Nina Burkopp, Martha, Randy, Mary, Katie and Peggy from Hospice of the Midwest for their exceptional care and support they provided Lorraine over the past two years. The family also offers their thanks to the staff of the women's clinic at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center for their phenomenal care and the consistent kindness they showed Lorraine.
Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11 am at the Church of the Holy Cross, 1621 University Ave NE Minneapolis, 55413 with visitation one hour prior to mass. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, 4403 Chicago Ave Minneapolis at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at P.O Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or to the charity of your choice.
