Rita Marie Snider

Rita was born on August 30, 1926 to Carl and Frances Schwaab in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from St. Anthony of Padua high school on D-Day in 1944. She wrote many letters to her brother and several other service men. Rita met Charles "Chuck" Snider after the war and married in July 12, 1947. She was a homemaker, who loved every bit of it. Especially the children and their shenanigans. Later on, Rita took on several jobs in the medical field, volunteered at Como Park and various medical facilities. Rita enjoyed traveling-Stateside and abroad, sewing and reading.

She is survived by, children, Thomas (Sue), Rick, John (Chang), Jane (Rob) McHattie, Mary Sue (Brian) Snider and Joan Tam; grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Dick Schwaab and MaryAnn (Tony) Martin; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles; brothers, Wilford "Bud" and Charles Schwaab; sisters-in-law, Beverly and Mary Schwaab.

Funeral Mass Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 10:30am with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow lunch at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

"It was a good time to be living, my chicks have flown and I am ready to rest."
