Preceded in death by wife, Florence Thrane; brothers, Dale and Robert Thrane; sister, Muriel Black. Volmer will be deeply missed by his son, William (Heidi Taylor) Thrane; grandchildren, Samantha, Zachary and Alison Thrane; sister, Betty (Russell) Ostrom; niece, Karen Black; nephew, Gary Black.
Burial at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis. Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Volmer’s name to Alzheimer’s Association.
