Truthfully Shocked to hear of Bill's passing-on !   He has always been One-of-the-Best of "The Good Guys".
Bill's Light has Shown on so very many others.  Not only a great friend, yet he was always a mentor who led by example.
     Bill co-chaired 'Nam War debate,  A highest ranking South Vietnamese Leader to an overflow crowd at Coffman on his way from D.C. back home.  And Bill, in one of his ( or anyones ) funniest acts as a Research agent from some Famous Opinion search company ) going door to door visits asking women of their sex lives.
I am definitely over whelmed by this . . . having for my own self these weeks,  an intense Awareness of my own Mortality like never before...
...partly Christmas season but more so certain Life Situations.  Have been re-justifying my life and accomplishments in Long Christmas Letters.  Writing and talking to many diverse people:  of my key life events, impacts on others, wrongs I have done.
So Much like "A Last Hurrah".
That is why Today [ 12.20.18 .. a year late],  I have been searching the net on many friends and family across the nation, for whom it's been years.  [ Can We Repair a Broken Thread ] AND my particular wish to Find My Friends from Minnnesota.
Bill and Jane both made Wonderful Large Impacts on my life and helped give me Some of my Best Memories of all time.  With my good friends Jane and Bill , we shared the 1960's with our
cohorts at the UMinn Student YMCA [along with Doug Wallace and Ron Sieloff and Ed Towey and "The Commons Club"].
I wonder,  wishing what is so, weren't so.  I remain stunned . . .  from Faith Hill song "Where  Are You Christmas" . . .
. . . If there is Love in your Heart and your Mind You wwwill feel lik3ew Christmans all the time
we will have Christmas sopirit in our life, ass long as we have 'Love in ou heart and our mind

Jane and family, so sorry to learn of Bill's passing. A great loss; he had a great smile and an easy laugh..a kind soul...

 Dear Carey and family, 

Bill was always a gentleman, kind, and a great person with a beautiful heart.  You and your family are  very blessed for having shared a lifetime with him.  I am very lucky to get to know all of you! A big hug for you and specially to Jane.

So good to have just recently seen Bill and Jane at the University YMCA anniversary celebration.  It seems I knew Bill and Jane most of my adult life--Jane on staff at University YWCA when I was a college freshman in 1972.  What a wonderful team and family they created.  They both have made the world a better place.

 Jane, I am so sorry for your loss.  May your memories bring you comfort at this time. Prayers for you and your family.

Jane and family - I was so sorry to hear of your loss.  I saw Bill just a couple of weeks ago, and he was in good spirits and looking forward to our next dinner.  He will be missed, and I will keep him - and all of you - in my thoughts and prayers.

Good guy, good lawyer, and good friend of the University YMCA.  I was glad to know him and his passion.

I always enjoyed our outings and time with your family. We will miss him and he'll forever be with us in spirit. Much love, Holli and Brooks.

It is with deep sadness that I write this note.  Bill was an individual of the highest integrity - a man of principle - and he will be sorely missed.  Please accept our condolences.
