With sadness, the family of Anita Theresa Petrow announce that she passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2026 at Mission Hospice. Aged 69 years old, she was born on October 12th, 1956 in Richmond B.C. Anita will be lovingly remembered by Eric and Genevieve Petrow, Jason and Becky Acheson, and Glen Fluevog. She was predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Andrae and Linda Petrow.
Anita grew up in and graduated high school in Richmond B.C, went to nursing school, and graduated with an RPN. She went on to work at Children’s Hospital and BC Cancer Agency for 27 years. She loved to travel and camp. Camp Luther was nearest and dearest to her heart and a place where she found peace. In 2013 she fought her first battle with cancer and was told she had a year and a half to live. She went on to face two more battles with cancer and lived for 13 more.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23rd, 2026 at 11am at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Mission B.C. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Camp Luther at 9311 Shook Road, Mission B.C V2V 7M2, 604-826-7062.
