Beverly (Bev) Ann Heath (Gerlach), age 78, of Mission, British Columbia, sadly passed away Monday evening, August 18, 2025, in Mission, British Columbia. She was born October 5, 1946, in Stettler, Alberta, a daughter of the late Fred and Ida Gerlach, sister Marlene, and brother Dave.
Bev is survived by her son Jason, daughter-in-law Denean and daughter Kelley (Chris); eleven grandchildren Jade, Montana (Lucas), Mattius (Emily), Baylee (Derek), Braeden (Hailey), Nicholas, and Skylar; three great-grandchildren Lundyn, Clayson, and Lucy. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her immensely.
Bev was born in Stettler, Alberta growing up on the family farm. Throughout her adult life she lived all over the place, Red Deer, Calgary, Edmonton, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Huntington Beach, California, San Marcos, California, and most recently Mission, BC.
Bev lived a life that most just dream of, whether it be her time spent living in southern California, her adventures with her siblings growing up in rural Alberta, her globe trotting around the world, the many diverse and creative companies she played with, or the cherished time and memories created with her family. And of course, her love of music, or should we say Elvis, and the never-ending dancing that came with it. She also enjoyed the quiet time spent in her beautiful garden.
As you all know, Bev’s story telling was epic, she always had a tale to tell. Bev was one of those people who had significant impact on everyone she touched; she will be lovingly remembered and forever missed. Jason, Kelley, and Denean were fortunate to have called her “mom”, and our children were blessed to call her “grandma”.
As per mom’s wishes, she didn’t want people to be sad, and as a result, she didn’t want a traditional funeral service to take place. A celebration of her life will be held between 1:30 – 3:30 on Sunday, September 28, 2025; refreshments will be provided.
