My family and I are very sorry for Chris's sudden passing.
In the last few years I got to see Chris more often. I have been playing more in recent years and some friends and I meet at Capitan's Cabin to play . Sometimes we meet at Sisto's Pub.
Capitan's Cabin is the place where I had the pleasure to see Chris more often lately. He always met me with a big smile, he was always very friendly. We got to play together. He was a good player.
His presence made the ambiance more pleasant: he joked, he praised, he kept the mood happy and light.
A few times my wife and I met him at Sisto's Pub as well.
He always waved with a big smile or if he passed by our table he made sure he stopped and said hello in his particularly warm way of greeting.
Chris was a decent man. An honest hard working man.
He is missed and will be remembered with a smile, thinking on his great personality.

Sincerely,

Josef Winel

We met Chris towards the end of the construction of one of our projects. He asked if we could use some help and right away we accepted. Shortly after Chris and Wendy became the first occupants of a "spanking new" apartment as he liked to called it. When his heart wanted a dog, we were happy to offer a suite with a back yard on 7th Ave. He was a super nice person. Wherever we met Chris he was very friendly and met us with a big smile. When I, Clara, spoke to him he always ended our conversation with " please say hello to Joe and Joey from me". When we asked for help in construction he connected us with people who could help. Any other help related with rentals Chris was there. His last words to me on May 31st were:" I am glad I could help, take it easy girl"...
My family and I are sincerely very sorry for his sudden passing.
Josef, Clara and Joey Winel
