Clarence started working at the young age of 15 in a local mill and continued to work different mills until he packed his last shingle at Teal Cedar on October 30, 2009. He was always a hard worker, one of the best shingle packers around. He could make the worst wood into the straightest shingle packs.
Clarence enjoyed spending his spare time watching hockey games, watching ME TV, going for walks, playing bingo, listening to the hockey game in his car or of course taking his pretty girl Chloe for car rides or walks along the dyke.
Clarence was a man of few words with such a gentle soul. Some have called him “the gentle giant” or often called him “chuckles”. He was very generous, if you ever needed a place to stay, the door was always open for as long as you needed. In his early years Clarence would volunteer every year for the Mission pow wow doing security or making bannock for hours. He supported his wife in any way he could with her many organizations or boards she would volunteer.
We feel lucky and blessed to have you as our father, we appreciate the wisdom you shared, advice you offered, you were a mentor, a role model, and a hero. We will miss you, but you are no longer suffering, and you are with your one true love.
Until we meet again.
If family and friends so desire Memorial donations may be made to Mission Hospice Society at 32180 Hillcrest Avenue Mission, BC V2V 1L2
The family thanks you for all the love and continued support.
