Daniel Calvin Schubert peacefully entered the gates of Heaven and into the arms of Jesus on Thursday April 15, 2021 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission. He was born at MSA Hospital on November 16, 1948. Dan will always be loved by his wife Connie (Rempel) Schubert, daughter; Naomi (Paul) Wicki, grandchildren Hannah and Sam; daughter Amy Lindeman, grandchildren Benjamin, Abi and Aria; son Dan Jr. (Anna-Lisa) Schubert, grandchildren Moses, Molly, Izzy and Jet; siblings Ruth (Ross) Millard, Lois (Glen) Pattison, Harold (Pat McCloy) Schubert, Rod (Ann) Schubert, Debbie (Ron) Miller as well as other family and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Alfred Schubert; Mother Lydia Schubert and Mother In-law Barbara Rempel. A private Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at 11:00am at the Hatzic Cemetery. The family invites you to watch the service via live stream at In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Seeds of Hope a home for orphaned children in Zambia. Dan made many trips to Ndola, Zambia to volunteer as a plumber with Seeds of Hope! Dan was involved in Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, Northside Community Church and most recently Northview Community Church. Dan served the community as a plumber and owner of Schubert Plumbing and Heating for 40 years. He enjoyed quietly serving and helping people in a variety of ways in the different churches he attended. Once he retired, he had time to become creative in the shop on his son’s property. Many people have enjoyed his creations. Mountain biking was an enjoyment for the past 25 years even until this past year of dealing with a terminal brain tumor. He discovered that an e-bike was the answer to climbing steep hills. Travelling to many places of the world was always in the back of his mind and he often planned the next one before leaving from the most current place. Family and friends will miss his quiet gentle spirit, his smile, his love of enjoying his family, especially his grandkids. See you soon sweetie!

A year later we took a drive out to Toronto to visit Dan’s sister & her husband. We had a little blue Datsun pickup & Dan built a canvas canopy of sorts on it. The wind in Manitoba was brutal on it and by the time we reached Toronto it was in shreds. Sort of looked a little ragged like us, but we sure had fun!

Condolences to Dan's family, I knew Dan as a quality tradesman with community interests, integrity and caring sprit. Our paths crossed by volunteering with Seeds of Hope, we did missions at different times. Great person who will be missed!

Dear Connie and your Family,
Our most sincerest condolences in the recent passing of your dear husband, Dan. I love the photo of Dan in the brown jacket and your saying that you waited 10 years for his heart to desire you! It was always a pleasure over the years to meet the two of you in our town of Mission. I remember your girls being so little when your backyard overlooked my parents backyard at 7th and Stave Lake. My twins were 3 or 4 and we chatted and that was my first meeting with you, 1976 or 1977. I watched Dan's memorial service and what a Legacy Dan has left in your beautiful Children and Grand-children. Wanting you to know that we care and pray God's strength and peace for all of you.
Blessings always, Sheila and Robert Demers

Condolences to Connie and Family. Danny and I started in buisness in the same year and our paths crossed many times. Missed having those conversations over coffee at different coffee shops in Mission or on a job site the last few years. He was one of the good guys and I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Connie we are remembering our wonderful days in Yellowknife NWT.
Our prayers are with you and your family, and may the Lord bring comfort and peace for you all. Dan was such a quiet, commited man and there was never a thought of him not being faithful to His Lord. Thankfully he is now resting in peace with Jesus.

Connie so sorry for your loss, give your children a hug from me.
I have so many good memories of Dan and times we had as couples together. I remember how Brad and Dan would listen to some of the latest music and I am sure they are enjoying great worship music in heaven.
Brad & I enjoyed many evening eating at restaurants and sharing our latest happenings with you and Dan. We so enjoyed your visit after we moved to Alberta.
God Bless you, and surround you with His love during times of grieving of the loss of your true love. Praying for you and family.
