It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dean Warren Krygsveld on August 5, 2021 after a long, hard battle for over 2 years.
He is survived by his father Leonard Krygsveld (Treena), his mother Ane Pedersen, his sister Tracy Roddick (Rob), his son Jordan Ellis, his daughter Jessica Krygsveld, his son Erik Krygsveld, his grandchildren Emilie and Holden, his niece Carleene Roddick, his loving partner and best friend Jackie Raiche (along with family members, Wayne and Patsy Raiche, Connie and Steve Trask, Dylan Trask, Jackson Trask and Cydney Bassett) and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dean, aka Deano, aka Superman, aka Mean Dean, aka The Viking…we will miss your beautiful dimpled smile, we will miss your laugh, we will miss your shining blue eyes, we will miss your stories, but most of all we will miss your kind and gentle nature that touched the hearts and lives of all your family and friends. Dean’s Viking Spirit and love for life kept him fighting longer and harder than anyone would have ever expected, so rest easy now our Viking Dean and enjoy singing AC/DC and all the songs we have shared now that you have your voice again sailing into the mystic.
Dean shall be cremated and a memorial service to be held at a later date.
Think of me as one at rest,
for me you should not weep
I have no pain no troubled thoughts
for I am just asleep
The living thinking me that was,
is now forever still
And life goes on without me now,
as time forever will.
If your heart is heavy now
because I've gone away
Dwell not long upon it friend
For none of us can stay
Those of you who liked me,
I sincerely thank you all
And those of you who loved me,
I thank you most of all.
And in my fleeting lifespan,
as time went rushing by
I found some time to hesitate,
to laugh, to love, to cry
Matters it now if time began
If time will ever cease?
I was here, I used it all,
and now I am at peace.
