Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his life partner of thirty years Penny, his daughter Kelsey, son-in-law Mason, grandson Henry, his brother Wayne & Partner Alison, his dog Dart and many, many friends. Gerry was predeceased by his parents Ed & Olga and his brother Donald.
Gerry was born June 26th, 1956, in Mission British Columbia, where he lived for most of his life. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator running graders, excavators and trucks. He always said if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life!
Gerry had many talents, hobbies and interests including woodworking, playing the drums, photography, and birdwatching. He had a passion for flying; He had his pilot's license and was getting back into flying before his untimely passing. He would stop and watch the planes fly whenever he got the chance and always dreamed, of owning his own helicopter. He also loved sailing and for many years he had a sailboat that he had lots of adventures in. Gerry’s biggest passion of all, was Traveling! He and Penny traveled to five continents and many countries over the years. Together they saw so many amazing places, made beautiful memories and took lots of incredible pictures! He loved his home and was always busy working on a new project or tending to the yard or the garden. He was a very positive person and had an amazing sense of humor, always making those around him laugh.
Gerry would be the first to say that he lived a good life. He was a devoted and loving partner, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
