DRUMMOND, Hayley NicoleJune 24, 1983 – March 14, 2015It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Hayley on March 14, 2015. Grieving her loss are her mother, Judy; her sister, Dalyce (Todd); her much adored nephews, Jayce and Kreider; her soul mate, Shawn; her Grammie; and her fur babies, Kit Kat, Kiara and Harriett. Hayley was predeceased by her father, Peter, in 2007. Also mourning her loss are her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Hayley grew up in Maple Ridge and graduated from Thomas Haney Secondary. She always had a love of travel. After a short time as a travel agent she decided to focus on a career which allowed her to do just that. She was successful in her pursuit and became a flight attendant. Hayley began her career with Zoom, and since 2008 she has been employed with Sunwing: starting as a flight attendant and then being promoted to the position of Cabin Safety Manager. As a Cabin Safety Instructor she also taught the new recruits. She was the unofficial Sunwing encyclopedia. Hayley was also involved at the union level as a Health and Safety Delegate. Her love of flying spilled over into her personal life. With great enthusiasm and pride she successfully obtained her private pilot's license in 2009. She loved flying her "Baby Bird." Hayley lived life through her heart. She found freedom in the sea and the sky, and both made her feel alive and happy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BCSPCA Biscuit Fund Champions for Animals, Hayley Nicole Drummond, would be greatly appreciated.
