Jade was born on February 5, 2001, at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. She is survived by her mother, Cathy Wilson; her father, Mark Schneider; and her older sister, Amber Wilson.
Jade entered the world prematurely, weighing just 3 lbs, but her larger-than-life personality more than made up for her small size. As a child, she was the one who couldn’t stop talking during class, but she was also the first to make friends with new kids, help others, and stand up for those who couldn’t defend themselves. Growing up in the Fraser Valley, she spent much of her childhood outdoors, making potions in the backyard, enjoying the summers at Cultus Lake, and picking blackberries whenever she could find them.
In her teenage years, Jade’s mischievous side emerged. She snuck out late at night and occasionally (more than occasionally) skipped school, but through it all, she remained fiercely loyal to her family and close friends.
As Jade entered her young adult years, the challenges she faced seemed to increase, but she was fortunate to have a small group of friends who stood by her side through thick and thin. These friends, whose unwavering support was a constant source of strength, helped her navigate some of her darkest days. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, patience, and love, which allowed Jade to get through many difficult times.
Though her struggles were many, Jade never gave up on herself, and the love she shared with her close friends will always be cherished.
