Ronald "Ron" Paul Borisenko

Ron was born on January 7, 1942, in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan, to Paul and Anne Borisenko. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Brenda; his daughters, Lorna and Wanda; his grandchildren, Karaina and Zachary; and his many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

During his early years on the farm, Ron learned many practical skills that, combined with his curiosity, ingenuity, and sharp mind, allowed him to build, create, repair, and improve almost anything he set his mind to. Ron was never one to sit idle. He held a variety of jobs throughout his younger years, with tar and gravel roofing becoming the career that enabled him to provide for his family.

While Ron worked hard, he also made time for the things he loved most. Camping and fishing were a significant part of his life and created countless treasured memories with family and friends. Ron and Brenda were fortunate to retire early and spent 27 wonderful years at Swansea Point, making the most of every moment together.

Fishing, camping, building, creating, logging, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends were all important parts of Ron's retirement. He will long be remembered for the trailers he built, the vehicles he meticulously maintained, and the ingenious gadgets he created to make life, especially yard work, a little easier.

Despite all of his accomplishments, Ron took the greatest pride not in what he built, but in the family he loved. His kindness, generosity, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In keeping with Ron's wishes, there will be no service. Family and friends are invited to remember him in their own way and to reflect on the many happy memories he leaves behind.
