Wayne Peter Lebedev

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Peter Lebedev who, surrounded by family and friends, passed away peacefully in Maple Ridge Hospital on September 29,2026 at the age of 73.

Wayne was born on August 1,1953 in Trail, BC to Peter and Nellie Lebedoff. Wayne loved the highway, the views and the driving, and started his lifetime career as a trucker in 1981. Due to an accident, Wayne's trucking career came to an end in 2007. Wayne loved hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He loved to take weekend road trips in his younger years to Boston Bar to pick huckleberries with his family. Wayne met his wife, Verna, in 1978 in Castlegar, BC. They were together for 48 years before his passing. Wayne is survived by his sister Joy, his wife Verna, his children Betty, Amanda (Sonny) and Damian (Christine). As well as his grandchildren, Braden (Kimberley), Kaitlyn (Kaleb), Iliana (Mike), Caiya (Kizer), Matthew, Kwintyn, Sophie and Hudson. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his father Peter, mother Nellie, brother in law Gary and grandson Kalen.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 12:00 High Noon at Woodlawn Mission Funeral home.
