Sol Agaton and Luciano De Jesus gave life to their beautiful daughter, Evangeline, on October 18, 1939 in Tacolban City, Philippines. She was the middle of three children, Luciano De Jesus Jr and Cecilia Coward. Eva attended and graduated Far Eastern University on May 8, 1969. She then passed her boards as a Medical Physician on August 6, 1969 as Dra. Evangeline De Jesus. A year after accomplishing her educational goals, she married Jose Lopez Sibal Jr. on January 24, 1970. Happily together for 46 years, they raised four beautiful children, Jose III, Erwin, Lourdes and Rosemarie in Manila. Her greatest accomplishment was being Chief of Medicine at the Department of Public Works and Highways and at the Ortigas Medical Center. After 40 years of living in the Philippines, Eva sacrificed her achievements and relocated her family to the United States. During her time in America, her family grew in size. She had seven wonderful grandchildren: Rachelle Ann, Jose Rheo III, Rae Ashley, Randee Marie, Ian Emilio, Isa Elisa and Ike Luciano. Eva enjoyed entertaining friends and family alongside her cooking, gardening her favorite flowers or exotic fruits, shopping the latest trends and hitting the jackpot on the casino slot machines. She loved spending every moment with her family whether it may be traveling the globe or watching marathon shows on the food network. She cherished the new age of technology where she was able to ask Google for answers or to check Facebook to update herself with friends and family’s daily lives. August 8, 2014, Eva was diagnosed with cancer. She fought hard but showed her strength even during tough times. She displayed her persistence on recovering from her illness and there was a never a day where she wanted to give up. Dra. Eva De Jesus Sibal, 76, died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 4, 2016 at Providence Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, California.
