

Francisca Medina born February 12, 1933 to Ignacio Saldivar and Rita Colmenero in Zacatecas, Mexico. Francisca was one of seven children, with four sisters and two brothers. She was born and raised in Zacatecas, Mexico, where she resided until 1959.
On May 27, 1949, at the age of 16 years old she married the love of her life, her late husband Joaquin Quijas Medina. They resided in Mexico until the year 1959, at which time they began their "All American Dream" and moved to the United States. Francisca, worked many years at various jobs such as a seamstress and a factory worker.
Joaquin and Francisca eventually settled in Granada Hills, California in 1973. This became the home where they continued to raise their children, created a family legacy, priceless memories and spent the rest of their years together.
Francisca is survived by 6 children, 3 sons in law, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and her first great-great grandchild is due to be born on her birthday, February 12, 2015. She is also survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother, numerous nieces and nephews and the loving family of her late husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, her beloved son Margarito Medina and her eternal soul mate Joaquin Quijas Medina.
