Alex's light shines through in those he loved.  To say he was a good man does not even scratch the surface.  His kindness and wit can be seen in his children, and his love and faithfulness are one with Carmen.  Their parties are legendary and were always filled with love.  They both accepted all people with open arms and made everyone feel welcome.  One need only look at all of these tributes to get a small inkling of how wonderful he was.  Mr. Rodriguez, you will be sorely missed, but remembered very well with joy and love!

I have many great memories of Apa but above all I will remember and cherish the memories he help create with my kids/family. He was always there to help out and take the time to talk to them, LAUGH with them! He loved unconditionally.

Our most sincere condolences to the Rodriguez family.  Going to miss watching your daddy working around the house. Talking to his silly cat. He always kept an eye out for us.  I had the pleasure of listening to his stories about his younger years.  I remember Joe asking your dad “you know who we are?”  Your sweet dad would say, “yes, you are my neighbors!”  This happened each time we saw him at church.  I know I promised to go a visit him. I wanna remember him like he would stand outside. Wave at us “hello” and “bye!”  Rest easy neighbor “Alex” you have a remarkable family.

Pa nos quedaron muchas cosas por hacer juntos aún. Landa our neighbor told me just the other day you told her once that” you liked doing home projects with me because we never fought” I thought what a generous lie on your part. If I remember correctly I drove you crazy until you understood what I wanted and then you would do your magic and the project would be perfect! And then I would tell you “ándale así era, eres un genio, un genio dormido” and we would laugh. I am going to miss you so much 💔

It’s not too clear but this man’s heart was so pure and made of gold. 
His smile made you smile & his laugh made you laugh. Each time I saw him I always said “ apa te miras bien guapo” and his response was always “ es porque me bañé mija “ then with an eyebrow raised he would laugh and give me a hug. They were always the best and most welcoming embraces I will forever miss. 

Our most sincere sympathy to the Rodriguez family and families . We will all missed my compare Alejandro.  I loved to hear his stories about when he was young. Made me laugh so much. 
He had a way of telling the stories.

My Apa (grandpa) loved to make everyone smile. If you ever came across him you knew he was going to have some kind of little joke. That's who he was. I remember a specific time when a few of us grandkids were younger, he and tia Boo-Boo were taking care of us and he fit us all in his little car and took us to the dollar movies and the arcade to play games giving us whatever quarters he had. I will forever cherish these memories. Fly high with the angels Apa!

    With you there was never a dull moment, you always kept a smile and always joked around with us ! You’d take us to the candy store when we were little & you’d let us all get a candy …. Every time you saw us you had toys for us as kids & even as we got older you still did it for the great grandkids.. You were selfless with your love & kindness to us and I will never forget that. Your Chocolate Chip Mole that we all remember you joking about was one of your greatest jokes and I continue to remember in my head how you would always say it and make us laugh ..As I cry & laugh about our memories, I know you’re in peace now and you are so loved from the heavens to here on earth with us .. We miss youu and you will forever be in our hearts & thoughts 🕊️

Apa (grandpa) was always smiling and making everyone laugh. When we were kids he used to be the one to take us on stroller rides outside to the candy store. Anytime we were in the car with him he wanted to make us laugh and he would do this silly thing of hitting the brakes repeatedly (of course safely). He also always seemed to have some kind of new toy he thrifted for us and our kids. And let's not forget all the animals he had throughout the years (birds, turtles, cats). All these characteristics of him definitely made him the cool fun grandpa that left an everlasting memory in our hearts. ♡ You will be missed. 

My grandpa had this glow to him when he played with kids. He was a kid at heart. He had this mole on his neck and he’d always say it was a chocolate chip. I use to call him grandma by accident so every time I finally said Grandpa He’d tease me and say GRANDMA. Every birthday of his we’d watch him open gifts and we’d sit and laugh in the living room while all eyes were on him. Love suzie and Atticus
