Born on March 27, 1946, Hermilo was the son of Florentino Saenz and Ramona Vela. A devoted family man, Hermilo shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Norma Jane Saenz. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two sons: Christopher Saenz (Wendy) and Jason Saenz (Nashla). He was a proud grandfather to Devin, Leslie, John, Noah, and Judah Saenz, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Hermilo dedicated over four decades to the gas industry, retiring as a supervisor from Texas Gas Service after 42 years of hard work and leadership. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and kindness.
Outside of work, Hermilo had a deep love for bowling, participating in leagues and competitions with passion and enthusiasm. A true sports fan, he proudly cheered on the Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams. He also enjoyed trips to the casino, spending time with family and friends, and had an undeniable sweet tooth—especially for cookies.
He is survived by his loving wife Norma, his children and grandchildren, and his siblings Florentino Saenz and Maria Elda Guerra. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Rene, Feliciano, Roy, Leonel, and Fidelio Saenz.
Hermilo’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
