

Jimmy Rodriguez passed away peacefully on Sunday June 15, 2025 at the age of 56. Born in Ventura, California, Jimmy moved with his family at an early age to Mission, Texas where he lived for the remainder of his life. A graduate of Mission High School, he worked as an auto mechanic and security officer for a majority of his career in Mission and surrounding areas. Jimmy’s parents, Amelia and Moises, preceded him in death. He is survived by his four children - Niclaus, Rocky, Jessica, and Jimmy Jr - and his six grandchildren – Ethan, Landon, Sophya, Daniel, Lina and another grandchild on the way.
Jimmy is remembered by his family for his unique laugh, punctual phone calls, love of vintage low-riders, break dancing, working on cars, and movies with Edward James Olmos.
A public visitation for Jimmy will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. A rosary ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM during the visitation.
A catholic mass will occur on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 620 N Dunlap, Mission, Texas. The processional will leave at 9:30 am from Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573.
Burial Services on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11:00AM at Valley Memorial Gardens.
