Born in Keota, Oklahoma and was a volunteer fireman and later became one of the 1st four paid fireman. He served under Chief Cook. Also served in the Army for 1 year and 1 month.
He is preceded in death by his wife Juanita Timmons (50+) and his parents Wiley Levi Timmons and Luella Mae Wedgeworth.
Mr. Timmons is survived by his children, Jane Gillin, Lois Galvan, Mildred M. Blackwell, William Clyde Timmons, Lolon Clarence (Theresa) Mackey, Rosie Clark, Ernest (Katherine) Timmons, David (Pam) Timmons, Bobby (Celedina) Timmons; stepdaughter, Pilar Aleman. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 3-9 p.m. with a prayer service recited at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. at First Methodist Church in Pharr. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel in Mission, a Dignity Memorial Provider.
