Lorenzo Ortiz, age 79, of Mission, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023. He was born in La Grulla, Texas to Benita Solis and Alberto Ortiz.

Lorenzo is survived by his beloved wife, Olga Nelly Ortiz; his son Lorenzo Ortiz Jr. (Patrizia); his son Hugo Tavitas (Sonia); his daughter Elsa Tavitas; his daughter Karla Puente (Rolando); and his daughter Erika Tavitas (Tony); his sister Rafaela Caro, his sister Alicia Saenz, his sister Odilia Vela and his sister Maria Rosa Garcia.

A visitation for Lorenzo will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM and a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, Mission, TX. A Celebration of Life will occur Monday, October 16, 2023 at 8:30 AM, Mission, TX., followed by a burial at 10:00 AM at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, Mission, TX.
