Norma Lydia Lopez

Norma was born on August 19, 1949, and was a cornerstone of her family, a woman whose love, strength, and unwavering faith impacted everyone she knew. She was a true pillar of support, always there for her loved ones with open arms and a listening heart. Her presence was a source of comfort, warmth, and stability, and her faith guided her through every moment of her life. Norma’s devotion to prayer was evident in her daily practice of praying her rosary, a reflection of the deep spiritual foundation that she built her life upon. A lover of music, Norma had an eclectic taste that spanned generations. She enjoyed the timeless tunes of Los Tigres del Norte, the classic ballads of Neil Sedaka, and the soulful melodies of Bobby Vinton. Music was not just a hobby for her, but a way to express herself and connect with others. Norma also had a special talent for “Name That Tune”, often impressing others with her remarkable ability to recognize songs after just a few notes. Norma also had a playful side and a love for fun and games. Whether it was crafting her latest project, enjoying a lively game of bingo, or playing Lotería with family and friends, she found joy in every moment. She also had a fondness for movies, enjoying the opportunity to escape into different worlds on the screen. Christmas was her favorite time of year, a season she cherished for both its spiritual significance and the joy it brought to her family. It was during the holidays that she truly shined, bringing her loved ones together to celebrate and share in the warmth of the season. Norma’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy of love, faith, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived with deep sorrow by two children, Yajaira Jannet Lopez, Juan Roberto Lopez; five grandchildren, Eenan Ryan Villarreal, Jaylen Anthony, Alaethia Rose, Emily Justine, Dimitri Kai Lopez; two sisters, Nora Rodriguez, Sylvia Sandoval; her niece, Linda Gonzales; many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be at Funeraria del Angel Mission on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 1pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm.
