Rodolfo Alejandro Quintana, born on June 15, 1959, in Managua, Nicaragua, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2025. From an early age, Rodolfo was a curious, bright, and gentle soul whose love of learning and deep faith would guide him throughout his life.
It was in his youth that he met the love of his life, his childhood sweetheart, whom he would later marry and lovingly share 43 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, companionship, and shared joys. They loved watching movies, exploring new places, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Rodolfo immigrated to the United States, where he continued to pursue his passion for education and service. He earned both his master’s degree and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Albizu University in 1997. His professional life reflected his lifelong calling to help others. Over the years, he served the Miami-Dade County school system, worked within the juvenile system, and maintained a private forensic psychology practice for 15 years. He even wrote a popular column for a Miami newspaper, where his insight, compassion, and humor shone through.
In 2008, Rodolfo moved to the Rio Grande Valley, where he continued his private practice until 2015. He then joined the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator—a role in which he served with deep dedication, empathy, and professionalism. His compassion for others was unmatched, and countless lives were touched by his care. Rodolfo lived a life filled with passion and creativity. He was an avid learner who kept a piano at home in hopes of mastering it, and he enjoyed writing poems and short stories. He was a devoted gardener, a lover of books, and someone who treasured quiet walks in nature. His mornings were marked by the simple joy of a cup of coffee and the morning news. He loved to travel, visiting countries across Europe, Egypt, and Turkey, always seeking to connect with local culture and cuisine.
Above all, Rodolfo’s greatest love was his family. A man of strong faith and an overflowing heart, he adored his wife and son, and he cherished his grandchildren dearly. He was playful and full of life—known for dressing up as a “monster” with false teeth and a cape when the grandchildren visited. A visit to Grandpa Rodolfo’s home often meant laughter, games, stories, and even a haircut ritual shared with love. Rodolfo Alejandro Quintana will be remembered as caring, loving, professional, humorous, and the life of every gathering. His faith, kindness, brilliance, and joyful spirit leave a legacy that will continue to shine through the family and countless people whose lives he touched.
He is survived with deep sorrow by his wife, Eyra Quintana; his son, Federico Alejandro (Lacie Greene) Quintana; two grandchildren, Hunter Aiden Quintana, Ethan Alexander Quintana; his mom, Gloria Quintana; four siblings, Ofsman Ernesto (Ana Patricia) Quintana, Regina (Rene Orue) Quintana, Beatriz (Matthew) Burns, Ricardo (Claudia) Quintana; many more family and friends.
Rodolfo is welcomed in heaven by his dad, Ofsman Quintana Sr.
A viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 5pm to 10pm with a rosary at 6pm followed by a catholic mass at 7pm in the chapel.
