My Tia. One of many. Also ONE, I’m never going to forget. She was a GREAT INSPIRATION to me. Her strength. Her Focus. Her Love. Her Diligence. Her FEAR & LOVE of God. Her ability to not only FACE but OVERCOME battles, giants, some of us could never have the strength to do. I’ll never forget the strength and power her LIGHT gave to this WORLD.  THIS WOMAN right here , truly walked, breathed, spoke, loved, shined, lived and still lives as the RIGHTEOUS OF JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR.   I’m happy and thankful to the Lord for blessing me with such a great Tia.  She  always be remembered because she will always live in me. I’ll always love you Tia. Til I see again. We will Always Treasure all the Great Memories of good times,  laughter and fellowship.  I wanted to take the time to say "Thank You" for all the times you lend an ear and a shoulder.  I will forever be Grateful and carry in my Heart all the Wonderful Memories our Families shared.  You were not only my Aunt, Coworker, Friend but a great example of a God Fearing Woman. Betty, my beautiful, faithful and best friend. I will greatly and forever miss you. A special bond from day one, 4 years ago. A sister I never had . You would tell everyone, We were cousins because of our maiden names. I will always treasure our friendship and the many wonderful memories--trips, going to camp, Bible studies, laughing joking , crying at times outings with family after church, our everyday calls. You always included us in your family gatherings. My daughter, will forever be thankful - how much you helped at her wedding. Our phone calls always ended i. "Cuidate," " God bless you," and "Love you." The last text (at the hospital) to me, was "Love you" on January 3rd at 5:12pm. "The lord giveth and the lord taketh away. Blesses be thr name of the lord. I thank God for giving me the privilege and honor of knowing you. It was his will to take you . He is in control and He knows best, but I have hope to see you again.

Te agradezco de todo corazón haber abierto tu casa para mi familia y yo quedarnos con tu familia cada ves que visitamos a mamá y papá. Muchos recuerdos bonitos. Gracias por tu amor, tu ánimo por todos los años que Dios te dio. Fuiste un ejemplo hermoso de ser madre para Ricky como también de la Valeria. Even as I’m writing this note, I have to pause, I can’t believe you’re gone Betty, and I feel like at any moment you’re going to call and say, “Hi Earthy! Que estas  haciendo? El cafesito ya esta listo!”   Ruthy, (as I would call you) you will be  sorely missed 😔, my heart ♥️ aches for you my beloved Ruthy.  Knowing  you’re with our Lord God and  Heavenly Father, and,  with mom and dad, gives me peace.  You  were the heart ♥️ and soul of our family, Betty,  you opened your home for us all to enjoy, and, even gave a home to those in need, including me 🤗.  Somehow you always knew when we needed you, and you always knew  what to say, giving of yourself and of your time.  It didn’t matter what time of the day or night it was, you always said,  “family comes first” and “God is in control “.    I admired you for your strength,  for your unwavering faith, and for your positive outlook in life, in spite of your health, you always gave God the Praise and the Glory for every new day!  You lived every day, truly, happy and joyous, and it was contagious, because everyone around you would be lifted!  Betty,  you  lived cherishing the value of life, and captured every moment.  God appointed you, Betty, to lead our family, to keep us united, to show us His unconditional  love ❤️.    Praise be to God.

I remember meeting Betty, Hector and Ricky circa 1999.  Betty and Hector were like parents to me.  I was a young, naive, Interpteter who showed up to BT church one  Sunday . My fondest memory of Betty is how is was able to multi task while I would ride with the Guzmam family. She could, at the same time, sign to Ricky, converse in spoken English to me or answer any question, and keep son eye on Hector as he drove. It looks like this: ( signing to Ricky) “ oh I see “ speaking to me “ Yes Eric “ and taking Hector to slow down as the speed limit was 30 and he was going 45. All at the same time 
She was a a friend, a mother, a counselor, and a prayer warrior I could reach out to any day and time. She made me want to be a better interpreter, Christian, and Godly man for my future family. We will surely miss you.  

my beautiful sister  , u gave me fond memories with u smile , ur laugh , ur wisdom . no matter what  u have always been there thru many times I reached out to u . opened ur home to all , as u did we all gained a best friend , prayer warrior , great mom , sister , daughter  , n wife . love u Betty 

I Thank God fo putting you in my life. She was a guiding light to us Interpreters. She radiated the light of Christ in all she did. She is no longer in pain!!!

You always had a smile for everyone and helped me grow as an interpreter.  Your love for the Lord & the deaf has always been an inspiration to me. My prayers are with your loved ones and they are many. We will meet again in God’s great home. ILY

Heaven has gained another angel . Someone who truly epitomized the meaning of courage and faith , Tia Betty was an anchor of strength to me and so many others. Thru turbulent  times , her positive attitude and constant encouragement helped me push forward  thru the storm and stay the coarse .  I will miss her smile, counsel, and my favorite morning phrase “ quieres cafe?” In a tone that only a few people would understand . I know that she will now look over us from the right hand of our Father .  Tia Bet , we will miss you immensely but we will never forget the valuable life lessons you thought us .
