With heavy hearts, the family of Sergio Garza announces his passing on December 9, 2025. Born on September 10, 1965, to Felipa Reyna and stepfather Agustín Guevara, Sergio grew into a man known for his loyalty, humor, and hardworking spirit.
Sergio is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Rolando Garza (Maribel), Martha Garcia (Felipe), Javier Garza, and Marisol Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Laura Garza, with whom he shared many years of devoted companionship.
For 17 years, Sergio worked as a mechanic for the City of McAllen, where he was respected for his dedication, skill, and steady work ethic. Whether he was fixing engines, solving tough problems, or lending a helpful hand, Sergio approached his work with pride and a genuine desire to serve his community.
Outside of work, Sergio embraced life with a joyful spirit. A proud Dallas Cowboys fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team. He also found happiness in golfing, spending time outdoors, and perfecting his barbecue, a pastime he loved sharing with family and friends. His laughter, his stories, and his easygoing nature brought warmth to every gathering.
Sergio will be remembered for his kindness, his loyalty, and the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Laura.
