Tomas Yanez Sr.

Tomas Yanez Sr. was born on April 10, 1939 to parents Leonardo Yanez and Tomasita Mendez.

Tomas is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved spouse of over 50 years Elva Yanez, and his brother Julian Yanez.

He is survived by his children, Maricela Rodriguez (Jose), Tomas Yanez Jr., (Cecilia), Criselda Echeverria (Omar) and Daniel Yanez (Angela); grandchildren, Gabriela, Miguel, Joey, Kayla, Jacqueline, Giovanna, Gabriel, Jesse, Omar Jr., Vivianna, Johnathan, Audrianna and Savannah; great grandchildren, Anthony and Isabella; siblings, Arnoldo, Leonardo, Cruz, Jesus, Celia and Juanita.

Tomas was a dedicated and hardworking individual who owned and operated Del Pueblo Barbershop in McAllen, TX, for over 50 years. As a business owner, he became a cornerstone of the downtown community, earning the respect and admiration of those around him. Tomas had a deep love for the outdoors, often taking his children to South Padre Island for fishing and relaxation, as well as on memorable deer hunting trips. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by many family members and friends who cherished his presence.

Tomas will be deeply missed by many family and friends.
