Blanche left this world for heaven on February 28 following a long illness. She was born on April 7,1932 in Chicago, Illinois, to Vivian and Earl Montnay. She was later adopted by her stepfather Roger (Mac) Mc Junkin. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister, Nancy.
Blanche is survived by her faithful husband Ron, of nearly 58 years, 3 daughters; Deborah Harrison, Susan Siefken (Ron), and Elizabeth Miller, as well as 7 grandchildren; Kendra (Daniel), Jeremy (Vanessa), Haley (David), Ciera, Erik (Ashley), Whitney, and Macie. She was blessed with seven great grandchildren; Tyler, Annabel, Emily, Madalyn, James, Owen, and Wesley. She was close with her four brothers; Jim (Kathy), Roger (Sandy), Jerry (Nellie), and Ron, as well as many nephews and nieces.
Blanche received her Masters degree in Anthropology and was an archeologist and college instructor. She was a long-time member of Pacific Coast Archeological Society, and a docent at Mission San Juan Capistrano. She enjoyed learning about other cultures and was an invited guest to Hopi Native American homes and ceremonies.
Blanche made friends easily and had special lifelong friends. She was loved by all and is deeply missed.
