Born on June 15, 1976 in Westminster, Colorado, Cara eventually moved to Westminster, California where she was raised alongside her loving older brothers.
Cara was a kind and thoughtful friend who lit up every room she entered. Her vibrant spirit, warm smile, and infectious energy drew people to her wherever she went. Those who knew Cara will remember her unwavering love and the way she made everyone around her feel valued and supported. She had a special gift for brightening moments and standing firmly by the people she loved. She embraced the beauty of living life leisurely, finding her greatest joy in the quiet moments and in the company of her cherished dog, Lily.
Cara is survived by her mother, Pamela; her father, Marc; and her brothers, Matthew and Paul. She is also survived by her nieces, Sydni and Jayden; her nephews, Isaiah, Joseph, and Nathan; her maternal aunts, Dorothy and Judy; her paternal aunt and uncle, Kathleen and John; and a wide circle of friends who were her chosen family. Cara is peacefully reunited with her grandparents Rollie and Tracy of Huntington Beach, who passed before her.
Cara is profoundly missed by her family, friends, and her dog Lily. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is finally at rest and that she fought bravely in her last days.
Cara’s funeral mass is to be held on May 27, 2026 at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa, California, with a private burial to follow.
