Charles Seifent Thompson Sr.

Charles Thompson Sr. Mission Viejo – Charles Thompson Sr. passed away at his place of residence on July 26, 2019. He was born January 12, 1936 in Buffalo, New York the son of Ola Prince and Harry Thompson. He married Irene McKye Moran (now deceased) on August 3, 1956 in Dublin, Ireland. Charles was a member of the Catholic Church. He is a United States Air Force veteran who served as a medic assigned to the 903rd Evac during the Vietnam war, while in the Air Force he spent 6 years boxing earning the title of light heavyweight champ of the Armed Forces. After his time in the service he worked for the Department of Corrections as a medic until he retired. He had a passion for jazz music, sports and he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and 4 children. Charles was well loved throughout his life by all those who met him and will be dearly missed. Charles was preceded in death by his son Charles Thompson Jr. and is survived by children Debra Lee Ellis, Phillip Lee Thompson and Denise Marie Lee Vogt; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
