Charles Erwin Wilcox of Dana Point, CA. was born in Elmira, NY and died peacefully on December 14, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospice at Mission Hospital after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 83 years old.
A graduate of Croton-Harmon High School, he went on to earn a degree in Computer Applications in Business from The University of San Francisco and an MBA from The University of Phoenix. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. He spent his career as a production manager and contracts manager for a variety of technological firms.
An avid collector of coins, watches, cars, and calculators, he was a published author and wine enthusiast. He loved traveling, sailing, building model boats, and tormenting the cat.
He is survived by his wife Rita, his sons Dean and Glenn, step-children Karen and Richard Tuttle, and his grandchildren, Emma Lyon-Wilcox, Ava Wilcox, and Joy and Luke Johnson.
