David was born in Long Beach, CA on February 22nd, 1969. David was known for his love and adoration for family. He made a constant effort to show up for the people he loved, especially his children Miranda and Arran. As a way to relieve the pressures of the world, David would run the same path every day for years where locals would eventually begin to recognize him. He was able to bask in the sunlight and in his words, “sweat his stress out.” He was often described as a Sun-Worshipper due to the comfort that the warmth of the Sun provided. When David wasn’t running he listened to music, playing his favorite bands and musicians from his childhood on the speakers throughout his house. Some of his favorite artists consisted of Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Jewel, The Bangles, and Green Day. A favorite tradition of David’s was attending Angel’s Baseball games with family and friends. He would make a point to get his baseball hot dog and introduce his daughter to dip n’ dots in a baseball cap, which turned into a long-lasting memory between the two. David’s son grew up with a fascination with meteorology and constellations. With the intention of creating these long-lasting memories with his kids, David inquired about his son’s facts with clouds and weather patterns. David often expressed himself through poetry and writing. His writing holds deep feeling, intricate meaning, and a mix of funny run-ons that have made his family laugh and reminisce on his humor. Another way to think of David and his antics was how much he loved his shots of espresso.
David had many characteristics which made him the husband, Father, brother, son, and friend that he was. Through his determination to provide emotional and physical support for his family, he was often described as loyal, thoughtful, and supportive. He held deep compassion for those around him and was extremely perceptive with others, especially those suffering from mental health or post-traumatic stress. He will be sorely missed.
