Elizabeth Perez de Tena

A celebration of life for Elizabeth will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Services, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.

Elizabeth’s life is a story of love and perseverance. As a little girl, she unknowingly contracted Hepatitis C due to a blood transfusion. A few years later, she was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes after suffering from a severe case of varicella.

Despite her health challenges, she did not let that stop her, and she was able to accomplish so many things that she was told time and time again by doctors that she would never be able to do. She graduated from la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City with an Oral Surgeon Degree, had a successful career as a Dental Assistant, continued to work even when she started receiving dialysis treatment, and always managed to look at the bright side of life. Everyone who knew her described her as extremely joyous and happy.

She met the love of her life, Daniel, 43 years ago in Mexico and together had a beautiful daughter, Daniela. Elizabeth wanted to continue having kids, unfortunately having another child naturally would not be possible due to health risks. But again, she was not going to allow this challenge to prevent her from achieving her dream of having more children. They decided to adopt another beautiful girl, Ana. There is no doubt that she had endless love to give.

Later in life, she continued to face health challenges. In 2014, her kidneys began to fail and she had to start dialysis treatment. Throughout this whole time, she also bravely fought against 3 types of cancers and continued to preserve. Unfortunately, in January 2024 she contracted Covid and was not able to recover. For three long months, she continued to show everyone her strong will to live. She fought for the opportunity to have more time to enjoy her young grandchildren, husband, daughters, and family. On April 11, 2024 she fought her last and final battle.

Elizabeth is survived by her 5 grandchildren, two daughters, and loving husband Daniel of 41 years.

El viernes 26 de abril de 2024, de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., se llevará a cabo una celebración de la vida de Elizabeth en Fairhaven Memorial Services, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.

La vida de Elizabeth es un relato de amor y perseverancia. Cuando era niña, contrajo sin saberlo hepatitis C debido a una transfusión de sangre. Unos años después, le diagnosticaron diabetes juvenil después de sufrir un caso grave de varicela.

A pesar de sus desafíos de salud, no permitió que nada la detuviera y logró muchas cosas que los médicos le dijeron una y otra vez que nunca podría hacer. Se graduó de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México en la Ciudad de México con el título de Cirujano Dentista; tuvo una exitosa carrera como Asistente Dental; continuó trabajando incluso cuando comenzó a recibir tratamiento de diálisis y siempre mantuvo una visión positiva de la vida. Todos los que la conocen la describen como extremadamente cálida y feliz.

Conoció al amor de su vida, Daniel, hace 43 años en México y juntos tuvieron una hermosa hija, Daniela. Elizabeth quería tener más hijos, pero desafortunadamente tener otro hijo de forma natural no sería posible debido a riesgos de salud. Nuevamente, no iba a permitir que ese desafío le impidiera alcanzar su sueño de tener otro hijo. Decidieron adoptar a otra niña hermosa, Ana. No hay duda de que su capacidad para dar amor era infinita.

Más adelante en la vida, siguió enfrentando desafíos de salud. En 2014, sus riñones comenzaron a fallar y tuvo que comenzar tratamiento de diálisis. A lo largo de todo este tiempo, también luchó valientemente contra tres tipos de cáncer y continuó perseverando. Desafortunadamente, en enero de 2024 contrajo Covid y ya no pudo recuperarse. Durante tres largos meses, siguió demostrando a todos su fuerte voluntad de vivir. Luchó por la oportunidad de tener más tiempo para disfrutar de sus queridos nietos, esposo, hijas y familia. El 11 de abril de 2024 libró su última y final batalla.

A Elizabeth le sobreviven sus cinco nietos, dos hijas y su amado esposo Daniel de 41 años.
